As part of the QCoast2100 Program, the LGAQ is committed to providing knowledge‑sharing and information‑exchange opportunities for participating councils. The annual QCoast2100 Knowledge and Information Sharing Forum offers a platform to showcase lessons learned from recent projects and to foster a community of practice among stakeholders. It also enables constructive discussion and engagement between delegates, helping to strengthen connections across the network.
The forum is designed to give local government representatives opportunities to learn from industry professionals, support ongoing professional development, and build stronger professional networks. Feedback from the network consistently indicates that these discussions—and the forum itself—are highly valuable to their work.
The 10th QCoast2100 Knowledge and Information Sharing Forum will be held over two days with afternoon site visits on Wednesday 11 November 2026 and the Forum on Thursday 12 November 2026. Hosted by the Cairns Regional Council, the event will welcome participants from local councils, state government agencies, academia, and the private sector—all united by a shared commitment to building more resilient and adaptive coastal communities.

• Cost: Free (fully funded by the program)
Travel Reimbursement Support
To support participation in the 10th QCoast2100 Knowledge and Information Sharing Forum, the LGAQ is offering travel reimbursement support for eligible Queensland councils. Successful applicants may receive up to $1,650 (inclusive of GST) to assist with travel and accommodation costs associated with attending the Forum in Cairns on 11-12 November 2026. Eligibility criteria apply and funding is limited. Councils may nominate one representative for consideration. Please read the full Terms and Conditions before applying.
