COASTAL LEADERS FORUM #2

Back

The 8th QCoast2100 Knowledge and Information Sharing Forum was held in conjunction with the second LGAQ Coastal Leaders Forum from Monday, August 5 to Tuesday, August 6, 2024, at the Ville Resort in Townsville. The forum aimed to provide mayors, CEOs, and QCoast2100 Project stakeholders with an opportunity for strategic discussions, to identify priorities specific to coastal councils, to showcase initiatives, and to facilitate networking and information sharing.

The event was both informative and interactive, offering a variety of session formats, including workshops, panel discussions, study tours, and networking opportunities. Focused delegate sessions were conducted, where Elected Members and CEOs participated in Ministerial Delegations at the Coastal Leaders Forum. The QCoast2100 Forum, held on August 6, featured presentations from selected State Government representatives, academics, and Queensland coastal councils, offering support to councils in addressing coastal hazards with innovative and nature-based solutions.
